1 Foreword

QC/T 612-1999 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 5 November 1999 and has been in force since 1 July 2000.

2 Scope

The wheel nut covered by QC/T 612-1999, a recommended standard of the Chinese automobile industry, is the flat seat connecting nut supplied with its washer. The standard fixes the type, the dimensions and the technical conditions for these nuts in threads M18 x 1.5 to M22 x 1.5. They are the nuts used where the wheel is clamped and located on a flat seat rather than on a taper. The document was modified from ISO 7575-1993, drew also on DIN 74361-3, and quotes GB/T 90-1985, GB/T 196-1981, GB/T 197-1981, GB/T 3098.4-1986, GB/T 3103.1-1982, GB/T 5779.2-1986, QC/T 326-1999 and QC/T 625-1999.
