1 Foreword
QC/T 491-1999 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 15 March 1999 and took effect the same day.
This standard is applicable to telescopic shock absorber for automotive suspension.
1.2 For the code when test is carried out for telescopic shock absorber, resistance refers to damping force with 0.52m/s piston speed, which is the performance parameters for end-of-manufacturing inspection of shock absorber; if necessary, the test may be carried out according to the requirements of speed which is different from that of this standard through negotiation between the manufacturer and the user.
1.2.1 Range of rated recovery resistance and rated compression resistance is shown in Table 2.
