It replaced ZB T31001-1987, was drawn up with reference to JASO F901, and quotes ZB T31002, GB/T 5617 and GB 6394.

QC/T 327-1999 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 31 December 1987 and has been in force since 1 July 1988.
