QC/T 246-1997 is the English-translated version of 汽车风窗玻璃电动洗涤器技术条件.
QC/T 246-1997 is the recommended Chinese automotive standard setting the technical conditions for electric windscreen washers. It lays down the structural types of washer, the technical requirements they have to meet, the test methods used on them and the rules governing their inspection.
Electric washer units for vehicle windscreens are what the standard is written for. It is not equivalent to JIS D5704-94 and quotes JB 2864-1981, JB 3918-1985, QC/T 73-1993 and ZB T35001-1987, under Chinese classification T26.
The standard replaces JB 3921.1-1985 and JB 3921.2-1985. Issued on 12 November 1997, it has applied since 1 July 1998.
