QB/T 8197-2026 is the light industry standard for the sewing dispenser, known in Chinese as a glue dispensing machine for sewing materials. It is a machine that applies adhesive to the materials used in sewing and related stitching work. The document treats this equipment as a product and sets out the technical provisions that belong to it, giving makers and users a common reference.

It will be used by manufacturers of dispensing machines for sewing materials, by garment, footwear and other sewn-goods factories that operate them, by test laboratories and inspection bodies, and by buyers who want an agreed technical basis when ordering equipment. The standard is voluntary, as the /T in the code indicates, so it applies where the parties adopt it in a contract or where another rule refers to it. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved and issued it on 13 February 2026, and it comes into effect on 1 September 2026. It does not replace an earlier edition.
