QB/T 8195-2026 covers mute pods, a type of office furniture. A mute pod is a small enclosed booth placed in an office so that one person or a few people can work, talk or take calls apart from the surrounding noise. It is a product standard that treats the booth as a piece of office furniture. The document keeps to this product and does not take in other office furniture, which has its own standards.

Office furniture manufacturers, interior and workplace designers, facility managers, buyers and testing laboratories would use it. The standard is voluntary, as the /T in the code shows. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 13 February 2026, and it takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new document and does not replace an earlier edition.
