This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for steel poles, inspection rules, signs and operating instructions, packaging, transportation and storage requirements. This standard applies to top-mounted poles and cantilever-mounted poles up to 20m in height and mounted perpendicular to the mounting surface. This standard does not cover passive safety under vehicle impact. The relevant requirements for passive safety can be found in EN 12767.
