QB/T 4969-2016 — This standard specifies potentiometric titration of cationic surfactants in surfactant raw materials and formulated products. When the analysis results are expressed in mass fraction, the average relative molecular mass of the cationic surfactant is known or measured in advance.

This standard does not apply to the determination of the presence of anionic surfactants or amphoteric surfactants. Note 1: Urea and ethylenediaminetetraacetate and sodium carboxymethylcellulose do not interfere.

Note 2: When nonionic surfactants are present, their effects are estimated according to each special case.
