Scope

NB/T 31003-2011 is the English-translated version of 大型风电场并网设计技术规范.

NB/T 31003-2011 is the Chinese standard "Technical specification for design of large-scale wind farms connected to the power system".

Its scope clause reads: This standard is specially formulated for the purpose of wind farm connecting to power system preferably implementing the principles and policies of national electric power construction and standardizing the wind farm connecting to power system.

This standard is not applicable to the following large-scale wind power projects: 1 Newly-built wind farm or wind farm groups with planning capacity of 200MW or above.

2 Newly-built or extended wind farm connecting to power system directly or passing through 220kV or above voltage grade line after collection. The design of wind farm shall not only comply with the requirements of this standard, but also the requirements of relevant current national standards. Its clauses include general; terms and definitions.

1 General

1.0.1

This standard is specially formulated for the purpose of wind farm connecting to power system preferably implementing the principles and policies of national electric power construction and standardizing the wind farm connecting to power system.

1.0.2

This standard is not applicable to the following large-scale wind power projects:

1 Newly-built wind farm or wind farm groups with planning capacity of 200MW or above.

2 Newly-built or extended wind farm connecting to power system directly or passing through 220kV or above voltage grade line after collection.

1.0.3

The design of wind farm shall not only comply with the requirements of this standard, but also the requirements of relevant current national standards.

2 Terms and Definitions

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

2.0.1 Wind turbine generator system

WTGS It refers to the system changing kinetic energy of wind into electric energy.

2.0.2 Wind farm; wind power plant

It refers to the power station composed of a batch of wind turbine generator systems or wind turbine generator system groups (including the transformer of generator system), collected circuit, main booster transformer and other equipment.

2.0.3 Effective capacity of wind power

It refers to the maximum output of wind power which makes the system reach optimal technique and economy according to the output probability distribution of wind power and through comprehensively considering of system peak regulation and transmission work.

2.0.4 Point of interconnection of wind farm

It refers to the busbar or node at high-voltage side of wind farm booster station.

2.0.5 Active power of wind farm

It refers to the active power of wind farm into the point of interconnection.

2.0.6 Reactive power of wind farm

It refers to the reactive power of wind farm into the point of interconnection.

2.0.7 Active power ramp rate

It refers to the ratio of change quantity between maximum output active power and minimum output active power of wind farm in unit time to installed capacity.

2.0.8 Point of common coupling

It refers to the first turning point of wind farm interconnection point connecting to public power grid.

2.0.9 Low voltage ride through of wind turbines

The wind turbines can ensure continuous operation under no disconnection within a certain voltage drop range and time interval in case of voltage drop at point of connection caused by power system fault or disturbance.
