NB/T 20006.8-2012 is the Chinese energy industry standard for manganese-nickel-molybdenum steel forgings used in the upper heads of steam generators at pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, issued as Part 8 of the NB/T 20006 alloy steel series.

It specifies the manufacture, testing, inspection and acceptance of those forgings. The grade covered is 18MnNiMo alloy steel, and the application is limited to steam generator head forgings rather than to the vessel as a whole.

Analytical work rests on the GB/T 223 series of chemical analysis methods for steel, which the standard lists at length. Issued on 19 October 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
