NB/T 20002.7-2013 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂核岛机械设备焊接规范 第7部分：耐磨堆焊.

Hardfacing is the welding process addressed by NB/T 20002.7-2013, a recommended Chinese energy industry standard forming Part 7 of the welding code for the mechanical components of pressurized water reactor nuclear islands.

The series lays down how welding work on nuclear island mechanical equipment is qualified and carried out, and this part is the one reserved for the deposition of hard surfacing layers on component surfaces.

Its Chinese classification F69 and international classification 27.120.20 place it with nuclear power plant equipment, and the hardness methods it draws on, GB/T 230, GB/T 1480, GB/T 4340 and GB/T 25778-2010, point to the properties of the deposited layer.

It works alongside NB/T 20002.1, 20002.2 and 20002.4, the NB/T 20003 welding consumable parts, and the HAF 603 regulation. It replaces EJ/T 1027-1996. Issued on 8 June 2013, it has applied since 1 October 2013.
