Scope
NB/T 11262-2023 is the English-translated version of 煤矿沿空巷道巷旁支护分类指标及支护方式.
NB/T 11262-2023 is the Chinese energy industry standard that classifies gob-side entries in longwall coal mining and matches each class with a suitable way of supporting the roadway side next to the goaf.
It defines the indicators used for classification, such as the cavability of the immediate roof, the breaking length of the main roof along the goaf and the ratio of immediate roof thickness to mining height, together with the classification method.
It then describes the commonly used roadside support methods, including artificial support bodies, reinforced caved gangue walls and roof cutting along the goaf side, with technical requirements for each.
Roof rock strength is determined under GB/T 23561.7. Issued on 26 May 2023, it has applied since 26 November 2023.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
1 Scope
This document stipulates the indicators and types of roadside support for coal mine gobside roadways, classification methods, commonly used roadside support methods and roadside support technologies. technical requirements.
This document is applicable to the determination of classification indicators and support methods for gobside support in coal seam longwall mining.
2 Normative reference documents
The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, the dated quotations For undated referenced documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated referenced documents, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Gob-side entry
A tunnel is dug along the edge of the goaf or a narrow coal pillar (usually 3m~5m wide) is left, or a tunnel is left along the edge of the goaf after mining. roadway, or a roadway formed by pre-cut roofing along the side of the roadway.
3.2 Roadside support body
In the goaf roadway, support structures are artificially constructed along the side of the goaf or walls formed by reinforcing the fallen gangue.
3.3 Roof cutting along gob side
In the goaf roadway along the side of the goaf, blasting, hydraulic fracturing and other methods are used to cut off the exposed direct roof.
3.4 Cavability of immediate roof
The difficulty of directly jacking off caving without support.
3.5 Breaking length of main roof
The length of the broken block is basically broken along the side direction of the goaf in the tunnel.
3.6 Ratio of immediate roof thickness to mining height
The ratio of direct top thickness to mining height.
Note: When mining thick coal seams in layers, the mining height is the sum of the mining heights of each layer; when mining with top coal caving, the mining height is the sum of the thickness of coal cutting and coal caving.
