Scope
NB/T 10351-2019 is the English-translated version of 水电工程水库地震监测总 体规划设计报告编制规程.
NB/T 10351-2019 specifies what goes into the overall planning report for reservoir earthquake monitoring at Chinese hydropower projects, the document that plans how reservoir-induced seismicity will be watched.
The report must give a comprehensive evaluation of reservoir earthquake risk, choose monitoring items and lay out the seismic network within a monitoring area reaching 10 km beyond the inundated zone, and describe the other monitoring items.
It then states technical requirements for the observing, transmission and data processing systems, plans the civil works and the operation and maintenance, and closes with an investment estimate.
A catalogue of report contents is given in an appendix. Issued on 30 December 2019, it has applied since 1 July 2020.
