NB/T 10334-2019 is the Chinese energy industry code for surveying and assessing hydropower resources at national, regional, basin and river or river-reach level.

It sets how to collect data and carry out field investigation on physical geography, economy, hydrology and sediment, topography and geology and existing projects, and how to calculate theoretical potential and then technically and economically exploitable capacity, taking account of ecological protection and reservoir inundation.

It defines indicators such as the utilization ratio and development ratio of hydropower resources and specifies how survey results and the assessment report are compiled, with statistical tables and a report outline in the annexes.

Planning and design institutes use it for resource reviews. Issued on 30 December 2019, it has applied since 1 July 2020.

The collection of natural resources data should mainly include land, forests, minerals, energy and water resources in the basin.

3.0.4 The hydrological and sediment data of the river basin should be fully investigated and collected, sorted out, analyzed and calculated, and necessary explanations should be carried out. It mainly includes the following contents.

1 Distribution and observations of the hydrological and meteorological station network in the basin.

2 The characteristic values of temperature, precipitation, and special weather phenomena at different elevations of the river sections in the basin data.

Runoff characteristics such as runoff source, runoff volume, runoff distribution, etc., and measured flood and historical flood conditions are based on And flood characteristics, water level along the river course, vegetation conditions in the river basin, river sediment content, suspended load and bed load transport The amount of sand.

3.0.5 Rivers with a series of hydrological data should be analyzed and adopted based on specific conditions. Rivers lacking measured hydrological data Natural runoff should be estimated using the latest hydrological chart issued by the authority. W--the average annual runoff of the upper and lower sections for many years (10,000 m³);

H--The water level difference between the upper and lower sections (m), the section water level adopts the water level corresponding to the average flow for many years, 2 The following formula should be used to calculate the multi-year average flow.

In the formula. Q-the average value of the average flow of the upper and lower sections for many years (m3/s);

4.0.4 The theoretical reserves of rivers should be accumulated from the source of the river to the mouth of the river. The theoretical reserves of the reach should be from the inflow The section starts to accumulate step by step to the outflow section.

5.0.2 For the hydropower stations that have been built or under construction, the technical development capacity should be calculated according to the design value. When the actual operating power generation It should be rechecked when there is a big difference from the design value.

5.0.3 For the rivers where the planning work has been completed and the hydropower stations where the design work has been carried out, the planning and design results shall be followed Count the amount of its technology that can be developed, and conduct a review when the development conditions change significantly.

5.0.4 For rivers where the planning work has not been completed, a cascade development plan should be drafted in conjunction with necessary on-site surveys, Calculate the installed capacity and annual power generation, and calculate the technological development capacity.

5.0.5 The calculation of installed capacity and annual power generation should consider the comprehensive aspects of flood control, navigation, irrigation, water supply, and ecological environment.
