Acceptance of well-logging material from coalbed methane wells is the subject of NB/T 10023-2015, a recommended Chinese energy industry standard. It fixes the technical requirements for accepting both the raw coalbed methane logging data and the interpretation results derived from it.

Its field of application is that same acceptance work, so it functions as a quality gate on data handed over rather than as a measurement method. Placed under the E11 classification for petroleum and natural gas exploration, it quotes the SY/T 5132, SY/T 5360 and SY/T 5945 logging standards and with NB/T 10021-2015. Issued on 2 April 2015, it has applied since 1 September 2015.
