4.12 If the mark on each package in the collective package cannot be clearly seen, the collective package containing the dangerous goods of the exceptional quantity shall be affixed with the mark.
The marking shall meet the requirements of 4.11.
4.13 Packages of dangerous goods in exceptional quantities shall not contain other dangerous goods that need to be filled in the shipper's declaration. When an exception quantity of dangerous goods packages the package contains UN1845 solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) and should meet the requirements of ICAO TI Packing Instruction 954.
5 Package test
5.1 Packaging test requirements
5.1.1 The complete package containing the dangerous goods in exceptional quantities to be transported shall be tested and tested in accordance with the contents of 5.2 to 5.4.
Make a record. The package should be able to withstand the test without any rupture or leakage of the inner package and not seriously affect its use.
5.1.2 The inner layer treatment or coating applied to the package should still maintain its protective performance after testing.
5.2 Preparation of test package samples
5.2.1 Preparation of test package contents
5.2.1.1 The liquid contained in the test package sample should not be less than 98% of the maximum volume of its inner packaging, and the solid contained should not be less than 95% of the maximum volume of the inner packaging.
5.2.1.2 The contents of the test package sample can be tested with substitutes. The solid substitute should have the same characteristics as the dangerous goods actually transported.
With the same physical characteristics (such as mass, particle size, etc.), the liquid substitute should have a relative density and viscosity similar to the actual transported substance.
The drop test can also be performed with water as a liquid substitute under the conditions required by 5.3.2.6.
5.2.2 Test package sample pretreatment
5.2.2.1 Fiberboard packaging should be placed for at least 24 hours in an environment with controlled temperature and relative humidity.
The following three environmental conditions can be selected.
--Temperature 23 °C ± 2 °C and relative humidity 50% ± 2% (the best environmental conditions);
--Temperature 20 °C ± 2 °C and relative humidity 65% ± 2%;
--Temperature 27 °C ± 2 °C and relative humidity 65% ± 2%.
5.2.2.2 When plastic packaging and coated packaging are used for the first time, they should be directly loaded with the dangerous goods to be contained for more than 6 months before testing.
Compatibility testing.
5.2.3 Special preparation for drop test package samples
5.2.3.1 When performing a drop test on the following packages, the temperature of the test sample and its contents should be reduced to -18°C or below.

5.3.2.2 Different test package samples can be used for each drop test.
5.3.2.3 For packaging used to contain liquids, considering that the gasket may become loose, the liquid should be injected and the injection port should be closed.
After at least 24 h, perform a drop test.
5.3.2.4 Except for falling on a flat surface, the center of gravity line of the test sample should pass through the edge or corner that was dropped. In a specific drop test can be where there can be more than one orientation, the orientation most likely to cause damage to the package should be adopted.
5.3.2.5 The test should be carried out in the same freezing environment or temperature and humidity environment as the pretreatment. If the same conditions are not met, it should be tested the test is completed within 5 minutes after the sample leaves the pretreatment environment.
5.3.2.6 If the relative density of the liquid content exceeds 1.2 and water is used as a substitute for the test, follow the formula (1) Calculate the height of the drop.
5.3.2.7 The impact plate should be a hard, inelastic, horizontal plane, and should.
a) It is a heavy whole, not easy to move;
b) Flat, no local defects on the surface that may affect the test results;
c) It is hard enough (such as cement board or steel plate), does not deform under the test conditions, and will not cause damage due to the test;
d) It is large enough to ensure that the test package completely falls on its surface.
5.4 Stacking test
5.4.1 Purpose
This test is used to assess the ability of complete packages containing dangerous goods in exceptional quantities to be transported to withstand stacking.
5.4.2 Test method
Apply pressure to the upper surface of the test package sample and keep it for 24 hours, which is equivalent to the stack height of the same package 3 m (including the tested sample Product) total weight.
6 Test report
