LY/T 3472-2026 is a procedure for preparing specimens of bamboo plants. Bamboo specimens are collected and treated so that they can be kept for study, display and reference, for example in herbaria and teaching collections. The document sets out the working method for making them.

It is intended for botanical gardens, herbaria, museums, universities, research institutes and bamboo resource survey teams that build and maintain specimen collections. The standard is voluntary, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration on 3 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
