5.4 Toluene degradation rate
5.4.1 Method summary
The sample was placed in a photocatalytic reactor under specified conditions, and the toluene removal rate of the sample under the UV lamp on and off conditions was measured.
The difference between the two was used as the toluene degradation rate of the sample.
5.4.2 Reagents
5.4.2.1 Toluene (GB/T 684), analytical grade.
5.4.2.2 High purity nitrogen (GB/T 8979).
5.4.3 Instrument
5.4.3.1 Gas chromatograph, detection conditions. Agilent 19091J-413 HP-5 capillary chromatographic column (column length 30 m), hydrogen was used as for carrier gas, hydrogen flame detection. Detector temperature was.200 °C, column temperature was 150 °C, inlet temperature was 150 °C, split ratio was 20. 1, and injection was performed.
Volume 1 µL.
5.4.3.2 Photocatalytic reactor, 30 cm long, 20 cm wide and 50 cm high opaque box with four 20 W UV lamps (245 nm) with a quartz tube (10 mm diameter and 40 cm height) in the middle.
5.4.3.3 Gas mixing bottle, 500 ml.
5.4.3.4 Gas flowmeter, flow range 60 mL/min ~ 600 mL/min.
5.4.3.5 Analytical balance with a sensitivity of 0.1 mg.
5.4.4 Experimental device and installation instructions
The photocatalytic experimental device is shown in Figure 1. The instruments and equipment used in the experiment are connected, while ensuring the airtightness of the device. By adjusting nitrogen the flow meter ensures a stable and continuous gas flow throughout the system.

5.4.5 Test procedure
5.4.5.1 Sample preparation
The particle size of the sample is controlled within the range of 0.25 to 2 mm, and dried to a constant weight at 105 to 110 ° C, and placed in a dryer for later use.
5.4.5.2 Toluene gas preparation
Add the toluene solution from the inlet tube to a 500 mL gas wash bottle, approximately 10 cm in height in the bottle. Connect the porous gas wash bottle to the system, Put it in a constant temperature water bath (25 ± 1.0) °C vertically.
5.4.5.3 Toluene standard curve drawing
At (25 ± 1.0) °C, take 25 µL of toluene in a 500mL reagent bottle, configure the volume concentration to be 50 × 10-6, and then take the volume concentration of the gas is gradually diluted to obtain other target concentrations of gas, and a standard curve is drawn. This standard line is used as toluene Used for gas detection marking.
5.4.5.4 Operation process
Bring the toluene gas into the buffer bottle with 500 mL/min nitrogen as the carrier gas, and mix it with 500 mL/min clean air to adjust the N2 flow the initial toluene concentration was kept at 2.5 x 10-5. The mixed gas enters the photocatalytic reactor. Gas chromatograph is used for gas detection, the exhaust gas is exhausted after being absorbed.
With the UV lamp turned off, accurately weigh 2.0 g (accurate to 0.0001 g) of the sample and place it in the photocatalytic reactor.
Phase chromatograph detected the toluene concentration at the gas port;
Take another sample and repeat the above steps with the UV lamp on.
5.4.6 Result calculation
The toluene removal rate and toluene degradation rate are calculated according to formulas (1) and (2).
, 100% t
2 1X XX= - (2)
In the formula.
X-toluene degradation rate,%;
X1-Toluene removal rate with UV lamp off,%;
X2-toluene removal rate when the UV lamp is on,%;
C0-toluene initial concentration;
Ct-60 min toluene concentration at the air outlet.
5.4.7 Representation of results
The toluene degradation rate is the arithmetic mean of two parallel experiments.
5.4.8 Allowable error
The relative error of the two parallel determinations of the degradation rate of toluene shall not exceed 5%.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Batch unit
The mass of each batch does not exceed 1 kg.
6.2 Sampling rules
6.2.1 Number of samples per batch. implemented according to GB/T 6678. The rules for selecting the number of sampling units are shown in Table 2.
6.2.2 Sample size. The sample size of each batch is not less than 100 g.
Mix the extracted samples thoroughly, shrink the sample by quartering method, select 100 g and put them into two clean and dry glasses with grinding plugs in the bottle, a label is attached on the bottle, indicating the manufacturer's name, product model, grade, batch number, sampling date, one bottle for inspection, and one bottle for storage for inspection.

6.2.3 The sampler shall be clean and rust-free, and inserted three-quarters of its depth along the diagonal of the package.
6.3 Decision rules
There is an unqualified index requirement in the test results. The sample should be re-selected from the double-volume packaging for testing, and the re-test results are still not consistent.
If the product is qualified, the products in this batch are judged as non-conforming products.
6.4 Expression of judgment results
According to the test results, the quality indicators in Table 1 are compared to determine whether the sample is a qualified product. The result is expressed as follows.
In the case of unopened use, it is a qualified/non-qualified product.
7 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage
7.1 Marking. The product packaging should have the manufacturer's name, product name, trademark, product model and mark, manufacturing date or production batch number, warranty Quality period, main parameters of the product, net weight of the product.
7.2 Packaging. The inner layer should be sealed from moisture and added with appropriate outer packaging.
7.3 Transportation. Avoid rain during transportation, and pay attention to light loading and unloading.
7.4 Storage. Store in a cool, ventilated and dry place.
8 Test report
The test report should include the following.
1) Sample number;
2) the standards used;
3) the method used;
4) Test items;
5) Test results;
6) Testing personnel;
