3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions established in GB/T 19557.1 apply to this standard.

Single measurement of a group of plants or parts of plants A group of plants or an organ or part of a plant is measured to obtain a population record.

Measurement of a number of individual plants or parts of plants A group of plants or a certain organ or part of the plant is measured one by one to obtain a group of individual records.

Visual assessment by a single observation of a group of plants or parts of plants Visual inspection of a batch of plants or an organ or part of a plant yields a population record.

Visual assessment by observation of individual plants or parts of plants A batch of plants or certain organs or parts of the plants were visually inspected one by one to obtain a set of individual records.

Tendril

A whisker-shaped climbing (marginal) organ that grows on the stem nodes of creeper plants and is formed by stem and branch specialization.

Peckel wing

Soft woody wing-like protrusions growing on branches of creeper plants.

Dimorphic leaves dimorphic the main branch or short branch of some species of Parthenocissus plants often gather three-leaflet compound leaves, and the smaller long branches are often scattered with smaller ones.

Simple leaves.

4 DUS test technical requirements

4.1 Test materials

4.1.1 The time, place and quantity and quality of plant materials required for testing shall be notified by the approving agency. From non-test country Applicants must provide relevant documents such as customs, plant quarantine, etc. in accordance with relevant regulations on entry, exit, and transportation.

4.1.2 The test material is asexually propagating self-rooted seedlings of the same age over 2a.

4.1.3 The number of test materials shall not be less than 15 plants.

4.1.4 The test materials must be plants that are not infected by pests and normal growth.

4.1.5 Except that the testing authority allows or requires the testing materials to be processed, the submitted testing materials should not be subjected to any influence on the expression of traits.

deal with. If it has been processed, details of the processing must be provided.

4.1.6 The variety right applicant should submit a technical questionnaire when applying, see Appendix B.

4.2 Test method

4.2.1 Test cycle and time

Subject to test conditions, test at least one growth cycle.

4.2.2 Test location

Testing should be performed at test sites and laboratories designated by the approving agency.

4.2.3 Test conditions

The test should be performed under the condition that the relevant characteristics of the tested species can be fully expressed.

Plant 2a or more.

4.2.4 Test Design

4.2.4.1 Each test shall be based on 15 plants. The test variety shall be planted in the same location and environment as the standard variety and similar varieties Environmental conditions.

4.2.4.2 If some parts of the plant need to be taken as samples for the test, the sample collection must not affect the observation of the entire growth cycle of the test plant Measurement. If there is an impact, a sufficient number of plants should be planted to ensure that the number of remaining plants can still meet other requirements after testing and sampling during growth.

Observation needs.

4.2.4.3 Unless otherwise stated, all observations shall be made on 10 plants or material taken from the same part of 10 plants. Observation for organs or parts of plants, one sample should be taken from each plant. Population observation traits (VG, MG) should observe the entire community or stipulate large Small mixed samples.

4.2.5 Test methods for similar traits

Visual inspection of typical branches, leaves, flowers and fruits.

Young leaves. During the flowering period, take the 2 ~ 4 unfolded young leaves of the new shoot tip of the year to observe.

Mature leaves. From the young fruit stage to the fruit turning stage, select the leaves on sections 5-9 above the base of the current year's branches to observe.

New shoots. From the young fruit stage to the fruit turning stage, select the middle of the new shoots for observation.

Mature branches. In the deciduous period, take the middle of the current year branches for observation.

Inflorescence. Select the complete inflorescence from the beginning to the full bloom period for observation.

4.2.6 Test methods for individual traits

4.2.6.1 Branches. Observation of twigs (Table A.1 Characteristic number 7) shall be selected for observations of biennials or more.

4.2.6.2 Tendril (Table A.1 Characteristic characteristics No. 8-9). During fruit setting to fruit turning period, select the 2-3 tip of the tip but not attach it Observation of tendril in contact with objects.

4.2.6.3. Leaf discoloration (Table A.1 Characteristic characteristics No. 28-29). Observe from leaf discoloration period to deciduous period.

4.2.6.4 Phenotypic characteristics (Table A.1 Character No. 30-34). about 5% of bud eyes are in the germination stage; about 5% of buds are open it is the beginning of flowering period; when 50% of the fruit is blue-purple, it is the fruit discoloration period; about 50% of the leaves are discolored when it is autumn; about 50% of the leaves Normal fall-off period is deciduous.

4.2.7 Additional tests

For new hybrid varieties obtained by natural or artificial pollination, if there is any doubt about the stability test, the specificity of their parents, Consistency and stability testing.

5 Evaluation of specificity, consistency and stability

5.1 Specificity

If the difference in traits satisfies a constant difference and a significant difference, it is considered to be specific.

5.1.1 Constant difference

If the difference between the new variety to be tested and the similar variety is very clear, only one growth cycle test is required. In some cases due to circumstances when the influence of factors makes the difference between the new variety to be tested and the similar variety unclear, at least two or more growth cycle tests are required.

5.1.2 Significant differences

Specific evaluation of quality traits. As long as there is a difference in traits between the new variety to be tested and similar varieties, it can be determined that the variety has specific characteristics.

opposite sex.

Quantitative trait-specific evaluation. at least two traits of the tested new variety and similar varieties are different, or two generations of one trait the differences in the codes (see Table A.1) can be used to determine the specificity of the breed.

Specific evaluation of false quality traits. there are at least two different traits between the new variety and similar varieties to be tested, or two of one trait Differences in discontinuous codes can determine that the breed is specific.

5.2 Consistency

Consistency is judged by the heterotypic strain method. According to the 1% population standard and 95% reliability probability, the largest number of heterotypic plants among the 10 observed plants the allowed value is 1.

5.3 Stability

5.3.1 The applied variety meets the specificity and consistency requirements in the test, and the variety can be considered to have stability.

5.3.2 Under special circumstances or in doubt, the test needs to be performed by testing a growth cycle again, or by providing new test materials by the applicant.

Test whether it expresses the same characteristics as the test materials provided previously.

6 Variety grouping

6.1 Variety group description

Determine the grouping of new varieties to be tested based on the grouping traits, and select similar varieties to be included in the specific growth test.

6.2 Grouping Traits

6.2.1 Leaf. Leaf type (Table A.1 Characteristic number 10).

6.2.2 Tendril. Top shape (Table A.1 Characteristic number 8)

7 Character types and related symbols

7.1 Character types

7.1.1 Asterisk traits (characters marked with "(*)" in Table A.1) refer to the important traits used to coordinate the description of traits during the review of new varieties.

For the desired variety traits, all "asterisk traits" must be tested when performing the DUS test.

7.1.2 Plus traits (characters marked with "()" in Table A.1) refer to the traits that are illustrated in the table of trait characteristics in Table A.1 (see

Table A.2).

7.2 Expression status and code

Table A.1 has a standard definition of the expression status of each trait.

Report and analyze and compare, each expression state has a corresponding numerical code.

7.3 Expression types

GB/T 19557.1-2004 has provided expression types of traits. qualitative traits, quantitative traits, and pseudo-quality traits.

7.4 Standard varieties

Varieties used to accurately and vividly demonstrate the expression status of a certain trait (especially quantitative traits).

7.5 Symbol description

The symbols that appear in Table A.1 of Appendix A are as follows.
