Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document supersedes LY/T 2555-2015 "Wooden Sound Absorbing Boards" and LY/T 2559-2015 "Small Reverberation Chamber Method for Sound Absorption Measurement of Wood-based Panels".
Compared with LY/T 2555-2015 and LY/T 2559-2015, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The terms and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of LY/T 2555-2015, and Chapter 3 of LY/T 2559-2015).
b) The classification has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of LY/T 2555-2015);
c) The appearance quality requirements have been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of LY/T 2555-2015);
d) Increased requirements for screw holding force, 24-hour water absorption rate, yellowing resistance, total volatile organic compounds, and natural radionuclides; and improved specimen preparation.
And the testing methods (see 5.4, 6.4);
e) Formaldehyde emission levels have been graded (see 5.4);
f) The test method for formaldehyde emission has been changed (see 6.4, 5.3 of LY/T 2555-2015).
g) The tool for measuring dimensions and deviations has been removed (see 6.2.1 of LY/T 2555-2015).
h) The specimen preparation method has been modified (see 6.4.1, 6.3.1 of LY/T 2555-2015).
i) The inspection classification, sampling, and judgment rules have been changed (see Chapter 7 of LY/T 2555-2015).
j) The identification has been changed (see 8.1, LY/T 2555-2015 8.1);
k) Appendix A and Appendix B have been added (see Appendix A and Appendix B).
