JT/T 1587-2026 is the English-translated version of 机动车驾驶员培训机构质量信誉考核导则.

JT/T 1587-2026 provides guidelines for the assessment of the quality and credit standing of motor vehicle driver training institutions. It applies to the quality and credit assessment activities carried out by local transport administrative authorities on these institutions.

The guidelines are used mainly by local transport authorities that run the assessment, and by driver training institutions that are assessed and wish to understand how they are evaluated. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Transport, issued on 3 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 November 2026. It is a new standard.
