JT/T 1586-2026 is the English-translated version of 机动车驾驶员培训学员满意度评价方法.

JT/T 1586-2026 specifies a method for evaluating the satisfaction of trainees in motor vehicle driver training. It applies to satisfaction evaluation activities organized by the transport administrative authorities. Driver training institutions may follow the document when carrying out their own self-evaluation of trainee satisfaction.

The standard is used by transport authorities at the competent level, driver training schools and institutions, and third-party bodies that conduct or analyse such evaluations. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Transport, issued on 3 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard.
