JT/T 1584-2026 is the English-translated version of 多功能化航标通用规范.

JT/T 1584-2026 is a general specification for multifunctional aids to navigation, that is, navigation marks that carry additional functions beyond the basic marking of a channel. It applies to the design, production, use and management of such multifunctional aids to navigation.

The standard is used by manufacturers of navigation marks, maritime and waterway authorities that deploy and maintain them, designers, and testing bodies. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Transport, issued on 26 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 July 2026. It is a new standard.

JT/T 1584-2026 is a recommended industry standard of the People's Republic of China in the Highway & Transport sector, approved and issued by the Ministry of Transport on 26 March 2026, with effect from 1 July 2026.

It is administered by the Transport Industry Technical Committee for Aerial and Marine Survey Standardization.
