1 Scope

This procedure is applicable to the first verification, subsequent verification and use of DC current transformers for HVDC transmission systems.

GB/T 20840.8-2007, GB/T 26216.1-2010 and GB/T 26216.2-2010 define and the following terms and definitions apply to this procedure.

3.1 DC current transformer DCcurrenttransformer Also known as DC current measuring device. Providing a signal corresponding to a primary circuit direct current, supplying the measuring instrument Instruments, meters and protection or control equipment.

3.4 Transmission system A short or long range coupling device that transmits signals between primary and secondary components. According to the technology used, the transmission system can also be used to transmit power.
