JC/T 979-2024 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 24 October 2024 and has been in force since 1 May 2025.

It replaces the earlier edition JC/T 979-2005.

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of mosaic glass. This standard applies to ordinary mosaic glass and hollow mosaic glass for construction, decoration and other purposes, and other types of mosaic glass can be used as a reference.
