JC/T 849-2024 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 24 October 2024 and has been in force since 1 May 2025.

It replaces the earlier edition JC/T 849-2012.

2 Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of perlite filter aids. This standard applies to filter aids for edible and non-edible liquid filtration made from natural perlite sand after high-temperature roasting and expansion and then crushing.
