JC/T 627-2008 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 16 June 2008 and has been in force since 1 December 2008.

It replaces the earlier edition JC/T 627-1996.

2 Scope

This standard specifies the asymmetric half-wave section of asbestos cement board (hereinafter referred to as "half-wave plate") classification, grade, specifications and marking, raw materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, storage and transportation. This standard applies to chrysotile asbestos and cement made from basic materials mainly used for covering walls and roof cladding fitted asymmetrical half-wave section of asbestos cement board.
