JC/T 601-2009 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 4 December 2009 and has been in force since 1 June 2010.

It replaces the earlier edition JC/T 601-1995.

2 Scope

This standard specifies the principle of the method of cement mortar air content measurement method, equipment, materials, test chamber temperature and humidity, mortar composition, mortar actual bulk density, mortar theoretical density calculations, cement mortar air content calculations. This standard applies to portland cement, ordinary portland cement and other specified uses of the standard varieties of cement.
