2 Scope

This standard specifies methods for the determination of loss on ignition, silica, aluminum oxide, ferric oxide, titanium dioxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, potassium oxide and sodium oxide of dolomite used in the glass industry. This standard is applicable to the chemical composition analysis of dolomite used for flat glass, and is not applicable to the chemical composition analysis of dolomite with a ferric oxide content of less than 0.05%.
