JC/T 1048-2018 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 22 October 2018 and has been in force since 1 April 2019.

It replaces the earlier edition JC/T 1048-2007.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of quartz crucibles for monocrystalline silicon growth. This standard is applicable to the production of quartz crucibles grown by high-purity quartz sand using the arc method.
