This standard specifies the structural types and technical requirements of needle-type gate valves, describes the corresponding test methods, and specifies the inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to the manufacture of steel needle-type gate valves with nominal sizes of DN3 to DN25 and nominal pressures not exceeding PN400, and also applies to the manufacture of copper needle-type gate valves with nominal sizes of DN10 to DN15 and nominal pressures of PN16 to PN25.
