JB/T 4721-1992 is one of the recommended Chinese mechanical and machinery industry standards, and it deals with the flange on the outer side of the head cover of floating-head heat exchangers and condensers. It lays down the structural type of that flange and the series of dimensions in which it is made. Its scope is steel flanges for nominal pressures from 0.6 MPa to 6.4 MPa and working temperatures from -20 °C to 450 °C. It quotes JB 4700, JB 4703, JB 4704, JB 4705, JB 4706 and JB 4707, and it carries the classifications J75 and 71.120.30. It supersedes JB 2208-1980. Issued on 3 November 1992, it has applied since 1 January 1993.
