JB/T 15549-2026 deals with the sand-lined metal mold casting line, a production line in which castings are made in iron molds lined with a layer of coated sand. The standard treats the line as a complete foundry machinery product.

Manufacturers of casting equipment, foundries, especially those making castings in volume, and buyers or inspectors of such lines are its users. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in the code indicates. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 13 February 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
