JB/T 15526-2026 is the English-translated version of 环卫机器人通用技术条件.

JB/T 15526-2026 sets out general technical specifications for sanitation robots, that is, robots built to carry out cleaning and other environmental sanitation work in place of manual labour. It treats this type of robot as a product and addresses the technical conditions that apply to it in general, rather than to one particular model.

Manufacturers and integrators of sanitation robots, test laboratories, and municipal or property cleaning operators who purchase such machines will find it useful when preparing, evaluating or comparing products. It is a voluntary standard (code with /T). The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved it; it was issued on 28 April 2026 and comes into force on 2 November 2026. It is a new standard.
