This is Part 1 of the series on CNC vertical gear edge extruding machines and deals with the testing of accuracy. It sets out how the accuracy of these machines is checked, as a method standard for inspecting a machine of this type, so that results obtained by different inspectors can be compared.

The part is used by machine tool manufacturers for final inspection, by buyers who carry out acceptance checks, and by test and metrology laboratories. It is read together with Part 2, which covers the specification of the machine. JB/T 15435.1-2026 is a voluntary industry standard (JB/T), issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 28 April 2026 and effective from 2 November 2026. It is a new standard.
