JB/T 15420-2026 concerns contact devices with a reed switch for pressure instruments. A reed switch is a sealed magnetic contact, and when it is built into a pressure gauge it gives an electrical contact output when the pressure reaches a set point. The standard covers the contact device as a product.

Pressure gauge manufacturers, makers of the contact assemblies, test laboratories and buyers who specify such devices use it. It is a voluntary industry standard, as the /T in its code shows. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 28 April 2026 and takes effect on 2 November 2026. It is a new standard.
