JB/T 15289-2026 covers integrated compressed air equipment for standard applications, that is, a compressed air unit supplied as one assembled package for general industrial use. It sets out the requirements for this equipment as a product, so that suppliers and users share the same description of what such a unit comprises.

Compressor manufacturers, packagers of air systems, factory engineers and buyers can use it when designing, ordering or accepting these units, and inspection bodies can use it as a basis for checking them. The standard is voluntary, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 13 February 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
