JB/T 15283-2026 covers battery-powered underground load-haul-dump machines, also known as LHD loaders. These are mining vehicles that load, carry and discharge ore or rock in underground workings, and in this type the machine is driven by a battery rather than a diesel engine. The standard sets out the requirements for the machine as a product.

Mining machinery manufacturers, underground mine operators and planners, purchasers and inspection bodies can use it as a common reference when specifying, supplying and accepting these machines. It is a voluntary industry standard, as indicated by the /T in its code. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 13 February 2026, and it takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
