JB/T 15273-2026 gives the method for measuring the flow of variable nozzle turbochargers, also called variable geometry turbochargers. In this type of turbocharger the nozzle area can be adjusted so that the turbine matches the engine operating condition. The standard concerns how the flow of such a turbocharger is measured.

Turbocharger manufacturers, engine makers, testing laboratories and buyers use it when they measure or compare the flow characteristics of these units. It is a voluntary industry standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 13 February 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
