JB/T 15120-2026 is the English-translated version of 农业机械二维码标识通用要求.

JB/T 15120-2026 specifies the general requirements for identifying agricultural machinery with two-dimensional codes, such as QR codes. A two-dimensional code attached to a machine allows information about that machine to be read by scanning. The standard links agricultural machinery with information technology, which is why two technical committees share responsibility for it.

It is used by agricultural machinery manufacturers, suppliers of coding and marking systems, dealers, regulators and operators who need machines to carry a readable identification. It is a voluntary industry standard, as shown by the /T in its code. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 13 February 2026, and it takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
