JB/T 14477.3-2026 is Part 3 of the series on ball surface grinding machines for tapered rollers. It concerns the testing of accuracy of the non-magnetic pass-through type of machine, which grinds the ball (spherical) end face of tapered roller bearing rollers as they pass continuously through the machine without magnetic holding.

Machine tool manufacturers use it to check the accuracy of the machines they build, and bearing makers and other buyers can refer to it when accepting a machine. Test laboratories and inspectors working on machine tools are also among its users. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by /T. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 1 June 2026, and it takes effect on 1 December 2026. It is a new standard.
