Scope
JB/T 11963-2014 is the English-translated version of 气动葫芦.
JB/T 11963-2014 is the Chinese machinery industry standard for air hoists, lifting units driven by a pneumatic motor through a reducer, brake and winch. It separates fixed, single-beam trolley and double-beam trolley designs, grades the lifting mechanism from M1 to M8 following GB/T 3811, and allows the supply pressure to vary by no more than ±10% of the rated value. Safety provisions include a clutch or pressure limit on hoists of 1 t and above, a load limiter set between 1.1 and 1.3 times the rated capacity, braking slippage of at most 5 mm at low speed, and a 25 m/min ceiling on rope and trolley speeds for explosion-proof versions. A dynamic load test of at least 30 minutes closes the test programme. First issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.
