JB/T 11453-2013 is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry that describes how the service life of twist drills is tested. It sets out the test methods and the way the test results are assessed to arrive at a life figure for the drill. It applies to life testing of standard parallel shank and taper shank high speed steel twist drills, and it may also be used for laboratory performance testing and as a reference for comparative tests. The standard supersedes JB/T 50189-1999. It carries the Chinese classification J41 and the international classification 25.100.30, and among the standards it quotes are GB/T 1438.1, GB/T 3077, GB/T 6135.2 and GB/T 17984.
