1 Scope
This part specifies technical requirements, testing method, marking, packaging, transport and storage of painting equipment weldment.
This standard is applicable to painting equipment weldment made of carbon steel, common low-alloy structural steel, heat resistant steel and stainless steel in manual or automatic arc welding, gas shielded welding and gas welding.
This standard is not applicable to pressure vessels.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this part of JB/T 10394, the terms and definitions established in GB/T 3375 apply.
4 General Requirements
4.1
The weldment shall be manufactured in accordance with design drawing, technology document and this part.
4.2
The painting equipment project construction shall comply with this part and current relevant standards and regulations of the nation.
4.3
The welder engaged in the welding of painting equipment shall be tested and certificated before the operation of welding. The certificate shall be indicated with welding conditions and valid period. The welder shall be reassessed if he or she stops welding for over 6 months.
