JB/T 10144-1999 is the Chinese machinery industry standard for the safety of shot blasting and shot peening equipment. It sets out the safety requirements and the protective measures that designers, manufacturers and suppliers of such equipment are expected to follow.
It applies to equipment used for blasting the surface of a workpiece, for shot peening it, or for the two operations combined, and it extends to the ancillary units built in as a fixed part of the installation.
