HG/T 6450-2026 specifies the prism-on-prism composite film (POP). It covers terms and definitions, product structure, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage. The document applies to composite films formed on a base of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film and used in the flat panel display industry. In plain terms, it sets out how a POP film is described, built, tested, inspected and supplied, so that buyer and seller work from the same definitions.

The standard is used by optical film manufacturers, flat panel display makers that buy the film, and test laboratories that check it on delivery. It is voluntary, as the /T in the code shows. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 16 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 November 2026. It is a new standard and does not replace an earlier edition.
