HG/T 6116-2022 is the English-translated version of 废弃化学品中硫、氟、氯含量测定 氧弹燃烧 离子色谱法.
HG/T 6116-2022 is the Chinese chemical industry standard describing the determination of sulfur, fluorine and chlorine in waste chemicals by oxygen bomb combustion followed by ion chromatography. It sets out the method for measuring the content of the three elements after the sample has been treated by oxygen bomb combustion. The standard applies to the determination of sulfur, fluorine and chlorine in waste chemicals that are not gaseous at room temperature, with method detection limits of 7.0 mg/kg for sulfur, 4.0 mg/kg for fluorine and 26.0 mg/kg for chlorine. Where verified, the method may also be used for bromine. Samples containing or producing insoluble sulfides and halides during oxygen bomb combustion are excluded. Issued on 30 September 2022, it took effect on 1 April 2023.

This standard specifies the method for determining the content of sulfur, fluorine and chlorine by ion chromatography after waste chemicals are treated by oxygen bomb combustion. This standard applies to the determination of sulfur, fluorine and chlorine element content in non-gaseous waste chemicals at room temperature. Method detection limit: sulfur 7.0mg/kg, fluorine 4.0mg/kg, chlorine 26.0mg/kg. If verified, this method can also be applied to the determination of bromine content in waste chemicals. This standard does not apply to samples that exist in samples or that produce insoluble sulfides and halides in oxygen bomb combustion.
