HG/T 4849-2016 is the recommended chemical industry standard of China covering powdered nitrile butadiene rubber, abbreviated P-NBR. It establishes the grades of the material and, for each of them, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on packaging, marking, storage and transport, together with the quality assurance period. It applies to the fine powder produced from butadiene and acrylonitrile as the main monomers by emulsion polymerisation followed by coagulation and drying. The standard is classified G35 nationally and 83.060 internationally, with the rubbers. It quotes GB/T 1232.1-2000, GB/T 4498.1-2013, GB/T 5576, GB/T 5577, GB/T 6543-2008, GB/T 15340-2008, GB/T 19187, GB/T 24131-2009 and SH/T 1157.2-2015.
