HG/T 4209-2011 is the English-translated version of 工业用三氯化磷重金属含量的测定目视比色法.

HG/T 4209-2011 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for determining the heavy metal content of phosphorus trichloride for industrial use. The method is visual colorimetry. It applies to industrial phosphorus trichloride in which the heavy metal content is 0.0001% or higher. The standard is one of the analytical methods issued together for industrial phosphorus chlorides, grouped under the Chinese classification G13 and the international heading 71.060.50, and it shares its scheme with the arsenic and iron methods for the same product.
