Scope
HG/T 4183-2011 is the English-translated version of 液晶显示器（LCD）用偏振片.
Polarizers for liquid crystal displays are the subject of HG/T 4183-2011, a recommended chemical industry standard. It gives the terms and definitions for polarizing film, the classification of the products, the grade requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and it covers labelling, marking, packaging, transport and storage. The film it deals with is that used in TN and STN liquid crystal displays; polarizers for TFT liquid crystal displays are outside its scope. Adhesion is measured according to GB/T 2792-1998, sampling for inspection follows GB/T 2828.1-2003, and GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 25275-2010 and GB/T 25257-2010 are also quoted. Its Chinese classification is G15. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
